The 2025 Probolinggo City Tourism Village Competition has finally reached its peak. Saturday (29/11) afternoon, the 10 best nominees received an award trophy from the Mayor of Probolinggo, Dr. Aminuddin, Sp.OG(K)., M.Kes. in an event entitled "Awarding the 2025 Probolinggo City Tourism Village Competition."

This activity was held at Ranu Sentong, Jrebeng Wetan Village, Probolinggo City. This momentum also marks the launch of a digital-based tourism application called Probolinggo City Tourism Exploration (JELITA).

The Tourism Village Competition is part of the Probolinggo City Government's strategy to build community-based tourism by strengthening the involvement of the community in developing tourist destinations.
Mayor of Probolinggo Dr. Aminuddin said the City Government would continue to strive to encourage creativity and innovation between sub-districts to explore tourism potential. Whether natural, cultural, culinary, historical or religious tourism, the tourist attractions can be varied in the city Probolinggo.

"If necessary, in the future there will be 100 tourist destinations in Probolinggo City. It's not difficult actually, as long as there is a shared commitment, willing to compromise, and willing to come together to exchange ideas. There are three conditions to create a destination, namely there are interesting objects for visitors to see, collaboration with the community to produce the best service, and attractive souvenirs that can be sold. That's where the local community's economy moves," he explained.

This event presents the excitement of colorful lights, as well as dozens of MSME booths that participate in enlivening the evening with a variety of typical angkringan culinary and artistic entertainment.
